BaaS and OEM group initiatives are a significant focus for newest team members
FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Nov. 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Global Technology Systems (GTS) today announced the addition of two marketing professionals to the company’s staff. The newest team members will support all GTS global marketing strategies with a significant focus on the OEM business unit and the recently launched Batteries-as-a-Service (BaaS) offering.
“While enterprises are focused on developing complex mobility strategies, the one element often overlooked is the battery. Our new team members will use their varied, complementary skills to support the global marketing efforts across all aspects of our business to educate potential customers and generate demand,” said John Rodrigues, VP Marketing, GTS.
GTS’ new marketing team members include:
- Robert O’Doherty, Marketing Manager – O’Doherty will be a key stakeholder in designing, developing and implementing GTS’ marketing strategies with the overall goal of driving market demand. Over the past 5 years, he gained invaluable experience through his work across multiple industries and at companies in various stages of growth. He has held diverse marketing roles in operations, channel, demand generation and strategic alliances, all focused on driving engagement and new business acquisition.
- Kelsey Reilly, Marketing Associate – Reilly will assist the marketing team with crafting creative content, developing online engagement opportunities, promoting social content and supporting GTS’s overall marketing strategies. Her past experience includes public relations work managing multiple corporate and non-profit campaigns. She also has experience developing corporate communications messaging, project management, media relations and social media management.
The marketing team expansion coincides with the BaaS launch, the first-ever mobile-power managed-service offering, which includes GTS’ on-site battery inventory analysis and removal of dangerous bad batteries. For as little as $0.05 per battery per shift, BaaS allows retail, transportation or logistics customers that rely on battery-powered devices to gain control over these mismanaged assets and save millions of dollars per year.
